Turn the mains power to the alarms off in the property and ensure the green indicator light on the alarm is off. RF Visual Indicator: Amber light flashes continuously for 1.5 to 3.5 seconds while transmitting RF signal A RadioLINK Manual Call Point, Ei407 and remote control switches Ei450, Ei412 and Ei411H are also available for use in the system. See separate specification sheet(s) for further information. If the alarms are sounding, there may be a fire present. You should evacuate the property and be absolutely sure there is no fire before returning. If in doubt, always assume there is a real fire present and take the necessary action.

Once installation is complete House Code the alarms together into a system. If any alarm, hard-wired or wireless, is now triggered it will sound all the alarms in the system. It provides wireless interconnect between alarms, i.e. when one alarm is triggered, all alarms in the system sound. If it is a regular single beep (approximately once every minute), then the battery may be running low, and you may need to change the battery in the alarm. This is relevant for the 140RC Series alarms. If RadioLINK+ is used, ensure the alarms have been House Coded together correctly. They may have been connected to a nearby system. Reset and House Code again.

House Code: Operate the ‘House Code’ switch on all RadioLINK units in the system – see the instructions supplied with other RadioLINK units being used. The green LED on the cover of the Ei428 will change to red and flash slowly, this indicates that it will receive the unique serial numbers being sent by all other RadioLINK units in ‘House Code’. The number of flashes of the LED indicates the number of units in the system, The Ei428 will return to normal standby mode automatically after 15 minutes. Pressing the ‘House Code’ switch again will return it to normal standby immediately.A Guide to House Coding House Coding Ei168RC RadioLINK Bases, Ei100MRF RadioLINK+ Modules or Ei3000MRF SmartLINK Modules Battery Powered Carbon Monoxide Alarms – The Ei208 and Ei208W alarms contain a sealed in 10-year life lithium cell and have built-in AudioLINK data extraction technology. The Ei208 is a standalone unit, whilst the Ei208W is upgradeable to RadioLINK+ with a Ei200MRF module. Also available in this range is the Ei208WRF with built-in RadioLINK+.

The Ei168 RadioLINK Base transmits a radio frequency (RF) alarm signal when the unit attached to it senses fire. When it receives an RF signal from another Ei168 Base, the attached alarm will sound. It therefore eliminates the need to install long interconnect wires between all the alarms on different floors in different rooms. If you are using an Alarm Controller Ei450 this will continue for as long as you hold down the ‘Test’ button.Find the alarm with the red light rapidly flashing. Press its ‘Hush’ button to silence. If that does not silence it, clean the alarm using a vacuum. Wait for 10 minutes and the issue should be resolved. Our goal is to provide one stop place for electricians and electrical contractors, but we are happy to help other clients too. In code mode, the amber indicator will flash to indicate the number of other RF alarms that have been 'leaed' in the system
