Hydra’s stabiliser and biocide active ingredients ensure that your fuel remains sweet and stable for much longer. Car has 60K miles and never been an issue before, the odd yellow yes, but cleared that with a dynamic regen. I’m still using it 18 months on and I don’t notice any regens whilst driving but a couple of times when I’ve parked up the fans been running as a regen hasn’t finished, my van is just over 2 years old with 6000 miles on the clock.

Their product reviews are very encouraging, so I think I may give it a try, and form my own opinion. My only reservation for my issue is that the vehicle is not throwing any warning lights or codes is this normal? It quotes different amounts to mix with diesel depending on whether it is for an initial clean or just for normal running.The thing I found most interesting was when they applied Redex to the fuel system and was surprised at the increase in horse power. My initial thoughts would be to use it to clean out the fuel system as u doubt my a6 has ever had a clear out of the fuel system. Perfect Lubricant: The dpf cleaner diesel and regenerator helps in decreased fuel pump, injector and cylinder wear issues. My engine was smoother, and when going really slow in second gear, instead of my engine struggling and sounding like it was going to stall, it was pushing me forward. I read quite a bit about adding 2 Stroke oil and the consensus seems to be that it replaces the Sulphur that 'they' removed which acted as a lubricant.

So my philosophy is to treat them well with decent oil and fuel additives etc I get them re-mapped because they also run so much better as well. Prior to finding Hydra Maximus, I usually added a generic fuel treatment or I purchased the "expensive" diesel.

I can't give an honest opinion on economy as I'm not really too bothered (it was very good before) but I can't see how it could possibly be worse when I'm consistently driving in a higher gear than what I'm accustomed to. Just like shell v power, this additive helps in low engine noise, smoother running, slightly more economy but no noticeable performance surge.

This includes cleaning the filters, fuel lines and injectors of any carbon build-up, sediment, and salt crystals. It was very informative on how even a service and replacement it leads can bring back lost engine power.

Update, after of a couple of months of use it does not seem to improve fuel economy if your engine is already running running well.

HOWEVER, the DPB-100 from the same brand hydra seems to be an identical product, i think the only difference is the dosing. My 10 yr old diesel car had an "engine malfunction service now" warning every time I started it up and would not run faster than 25mph (limp mode? If it costs me a few quid a week extra, so be it, but the 350 runs beautifully on it, as have a number of derv vehicles previously owned. Would you say that your engine is running very clean from those figures, unless there is more to it than basic CO, HC and Lambda. Using fuels which meet engine operating requirements will improve cold starting, reduce smoke during start-up, improve fuel economy, reduce exhaust emissions, improve engine durability, reduce noise and vibration.I was in the same place a while ago, I did one tank of dpb100 at cleaning strength then mixed the ehn with dpb in 2/3 to 1/3 strength until I used all the EHN. Well I got the volvo towed to my local garage who I rate, but couldn't look at it until a 36 hrs after the breakdown. Not sure how good it improves the engine performance but really… so far my car engine is great condition for a 10 year old BMW. was not really bothered about increased bhp was more interested in cleaning up my fuel system and removing build up on the system. Over the years, fronting a busy Indie and listening to a never ending stream of disgruntled owners carp about the cost of a DPF clean/Regen is a salutary lesson learned.
