The book moves seamlessly between the natural beauty of south west Ireland, through to the bright lights of New York city. Registered address: Unit 5, Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, LE5 3EF, United kingdom. I wanted to represent both social economic divisions so I brought a Pomegranate Martini which would appeal to the Deverill family and Scones with cream and jam for the Doyle and O'Leary families. Her first novel, Meet Me Under the Ombu Tree, was inspired by her first trip to Argentina and several of her other novels are set there.

I didn't really like the ending, it was too much destiny for me, and the epilogue was just random in my opinion.

I didn't understand their motivations and actions, some of the "love stories" were just weird and misplaced, and the plot twists were just. I live in London but rent a cottage in Hampshire, which is where I bolt to when I can no longer take the pace of the city and need to spend time in nature to find peace.

Santa Montefiore's novels have been translated into twenty languages and have sold more than three million copies in England and Europe. It's a touch of Downton Abbey along with rural hard living families spanning a time period of 1925 to 1938 (book 2). I adore nature, so I tend to plant my characters in rural settlings - by the sea or in the countryside - and most of them are stand alone, except Last Voyage of the Valentina and The Italian Matchmaker, and my recent trilogy, The Deverill Chronicles, which is set in Ireland from 1910 to the sixties. The part played by "The Shrubs" in this book ( sorry, but I don't want to spoil this treat for you by telling you what they are), was a touch of genius. The ethos of the books is somewhat modern bearing in mind the period described, having witchcraft, adultery, homosexuality, ghosts and murder in the story.

And the exceptionally compelling, well-paced plot is filled with familial dynamics, drama, emotion, self-discovery, secrets, revelations, love, loss, heartbreak, courage, duty, and passion all surrounded by authentic historical events of the time. Our son came up with the idea when he was six years old and it's now being made into a movie by Fox Disney, which is beyond exciting. I'm not saying any more as I don't want to spoil it or give anything away for readers of this fantastic, sweeping epic of a novel.La verdad es que desde el principio he tenido una conexión brutal con esta trilogía, pero esta segunda parte ha superado en mi opinión a la anterior. Si pensaba que la primera parte había sido increíble, esta segunda parte se ha llevado la delantera! It started out as three books, but is now five, soon to be six: The Secret Hours is number 4 and The Distant Shores is number 5. I came into The Daughters of Castle Deverill, the second book in a series written by established British author Santa Montefiore, having just read its predecessor, Songs of Love and War. And there is no indication on the cover that this is part of a trilogy, so I have a feeling a lot of readers are going to end up confused like I was.

So many story lines weaving together, leaving the reader with great anticipation about what happens next. I skim-read a lot of this willing it to pick up, and it finally does towards the end when a chance meeting sets things up for plenty of shock and heartbreak; I'd decided not to bother with the third installment midway through the second, but the ending changed my mind. The sale of customised goods or perishable goods, sealed audio or video recordings, or software, which has been opened. So much angst over love, unrequited love, adulterous love, jealousy over misunderstandings that could easily be cleared up with a conversation, shady business dealings involving South African diamonds, and half hearted revenge plots x 2. All the characters from the first book are here with the addition of new off spring as the years progress. Once again the writing is lush and descriptive and pulls you right into the story almost as if you are there! I never dreamt that part two could be anywhere near as good as part one, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
