Description

This story focuses on Guilio, denounced former heir to his father's mafia empire, and Alessio, the assassin hired to take Guilio out (and also the assassin who was hired to take out his father 4 years prior). Their chemistry from the beginning was undeniable and simply off! the! charts!

Years of work, my family, and almost my life—all stolen from me. For four years I rebuilt my empire, plotting in secret, planning to make him suffer as I suffered. It was okay. Don't get me wrong, BUT there are some points that triggered my hate for some things in there. And that's being said AFTER I read it for a second time. This is the second book of the Kings of Italy and it follows Fausto and Francesca (Frankie). Book 1 ends in a cliffhanger and we immediately start here. Like most mafia books this definitely had bloody and gory moments. It is a dark mafia romance but it starts to lighten up in the end. AND THE SPICE. I was all clean-up-on-aisle-my-panties over the prior books, but this one was somehow even steamier, a bit kinkier too since our dark, mysterious mafia man likes to bring a little of the dark edge into his bedroom play with his captive. And Enzo’s dirty mouth- PHEW. But he’s also got a tender heart that has me swooning- this man melts hearts and panties, and what a triumph! Mila took a character I didn’t even know if I could root for and now i’m desperate for more moments in his mind.

I was so excited to get to Mafia Madman because it was Enzo's book and I knew this man was about to be more unhinged than he already was.

Mafia Darling (The Kings of Italy, #2) - Mila Finelli

You didn't know how you got here, one moment you were exploring an old studio and the next you were in a sentient house with a talking puppet. As strange as it all is to process, maybe it'll all be okay, he seems friendly. Mafia Target is the newest book in the Kings of Italy series, which makes it the 4th installment in this mafia series that has been set in Italy. Both main characters we follow in here, as well as side characters, we have already met in the previous books so I think reading the others will definitely better set you up for this book. I had high expectations for this mm, mafia romance and sadly it didn’t live up to all of them. Giulio was once heir to the biggest mafia empire in Europe, his father is Fausto (the hero of books 1 and 2) and we saw why and when Giulio fled from his family’s home in the previous books. Giulio has been kind of on the run since, after not being accepted by some of the heads of families in their mafia world because of his sexuality and he’s been wanting to make his own way since. Alessio is a sniper assassin who was hired to take out Giulio but can’t seem to pull the trigger when he has him in his sights. So we see Alessio following his target, Giulio all around Europe and their very lust-filled infatuation with one another. They decide on a temporary truce for one month to enjoy one another!

This Mafia romance is about a larger than life, over confident, sexy AF Mafia Capo Dante Salvatore. He's in trouble with the law and has hired his good friend Cosima's sister as one of his lawyers. Elena Lomardi lives and breathes her job in the court room. After going through a heart breaking divorce Elena has turned to "Ice". She definitely finds Dante attractive but gives him a very cool shoulder and a hard time. The suspense and intrigue was constant, the angst penetrating, the fire in Dante's eyes scalding, just everything made this book unstoppable! I could not put it down!!Mafia Mistress” features certain favorite tropes that fans of the book like to read: age gap, mafia, and kidnapping. Fausto and Frankie are an absolutely explosive couple and it’s not possible to fully express in words how off the charts their chemistry is here. This was unexpectedly quite a nice read with some strong sexual chemistry between Fausto and Frankie. Francesca found this dangerous guy that makes her burn with such a need, a guy she’s unable to live without, until he accused her of betraying him and shipped her away. Then she got kidnapped by one of his rivals. Fausto believes that he is able to rescue her and have her begging down at his feet again. However she’s finished begging. This time around, it is going to be the king that breaks. Alessio is an assassin. He's the best money can buy and money is something that Enzo (yes the cage-loving psycho from Mafia Madman) has loads of. Enough to hire Alessio to kill the son of his greatest enemy and his now family member Fausto 🤣

The moment when Alessio wanted to borrow the laptop from Russian pakham, trusting he won’t spy on him. You were fine living on your own in the comfy space of your own home. Though what happens if a certain curious little puppet invades it before dragging you to his own world for his own reasons.Mila had me nervou though. Overly obstinate, spitfire just to be spitfire heroines are not my jam- and I just knew that Gia would be MORE than a handful as a heroine. And Enzo- well he’s the villain. Sure, I had some empathy for him in book 2 as he was tortured and humliated, but his enemies were my dearest couple, and Enzo had been very naughty trying to take on my daddy Fausto. But there was a real spark of humanity that mattered- Mila intentionally giving us a glimpse into him to warm us to him as a leading man. But still, could I root for and adore this man? Especially when the romantic element in this story was shaping up to be a bit darker than the one before?
